Course Spotlight: ENG 390: How to Live: Montaigne and Others

Prof. Helen Marlborough does. The title of the course, “How to Live”, is taken from an award-winning biography of Montaigne by Sarah Bakewell. The chapter headings of Bakewell’s book provide intriguing responses to the question, “How to Live?”, including “Read a lot. Forget most of what you read, and be slow-witted” and “Do a good job, but not too good a job.”
